Lets Draw
This piece may seem a little hard to draw at first glance but follow the simple steps I have mentioned below and you’ll be able to draw these flowers in no time. I drew the same directly onto my A5 Watercolour Sheet as follows. Check out my real time Youtube Video for further guidance.
Step 1: Start off by drawing the stock of the flowers and two simple ‘U’ shapes at the top. Add a small curve outward on either side of the ‘U’.

Step 2: Add in some leaves like shown below to each of the stocks. To add in the petals for the first flower, start from the centre dividing the flower into two and then add in small curves to make petal shapes. For the second flower, add in a simple pointed petal at the centre and two petals on either side with the curves facing outward.

Step 3: To complete the flowers, add in small curves to right on top like shown below. Add in three simple leaves to your right stock and draw in a teardrop shape. Draw lines through the same to create a bud.

Step 4: Add in small leaf shapes around each flower. Finally, add in a long sequence of leaves to your right stock to complete the piece.

Painting Process and Colour Scheme
Attached below is a colour guide to all the shades and tones used to create this piece. On the top two rows, I have all the colours used for the flowers and stock. The bottom row has the greens used to create the leaves. Check out my Youtube Video in real time to have a better understanding

To paint the flowers, I started off with the dark pink colour on the edges of each of the petals, I blended in orange and finally yellow moving my way to the top. For the petals at the back, I simply used orange as the darker tone and a light yellow at the tips for a highlight.
For my leaves, I used the darker green shade at the edges or where ever a shadow could form. I then blended out the same to a lighter tone. For the stock, I simply used the purple pink shade at one edge and blended it out with water to create a gradient.
I hope this blog post was helpful to you!
Happy Arting!
